Sensory Friendly Hour at the Grayslake Area Public Library

At the Grayslake Area Public Library they strive to provide inclusive experiences for all individuals. People of all ages and abilities including, but not limited, to those on the autism spectrum, are welcome and encouraged to participate in their sensory-inclusive programs. The event features everything available during regular hours as well as an opportunity to access the library’s resources in a quiet and sensory friendly environment. The lights will be dimmed and there will be quiet spaces available for anyone who might need them, in addition, there will be sensory activities available in The Hub and Youth Program Room. Sensory Friendly Hour is also a space for families and caregivers to network, share community resources, and develop trust.
