Grayslake Heritage Center & Museum’s Exhibits
The Grayslake Heritage Center & Museum features multiple exhibition galleries, a community room, archives and collections storage. It also incorporates the original Village Hall, a former one-room school house moved to the site and expanded in 1895.

Grayslake Giving Trees
The blockbuster event of the season is back: Grayslake Giving Trees exhibit lights up the room with an exhibit of trees decorated by local organizations at the Grayslake Heritage Center & Museum! Local nonprofits will decorate trees to showcase their mission or the chosen theme, “Movies” for 2025.
You’ll have the opportunity to vote for your favorite tree or just enjoy the festivities. Votes are $1 per ticket and the organization with the most votes keeps the entire profit from their tree. The remaining organizations split the proceeds with the Grayslake Historical Society.
8th Annual Holiday Window Decorating Contest
It’s time for holiday cheer with the 8th annual Holiday Window Decorating Competition! Businesses in the historic downtown Grayslake Village Center will decorate their windows for the holidays, and YOU get to vote for your favorite! It all begins on Friday, November 28th!

3rd Annual Mix, Mingle, and Jingle
Join Noote Partners x Compass Real Estate and Beer Bazaar for their 3rd Annual Mix, Mingle & Jingle Happy Hour! Come enjoy an evening of beer, wine, raffles, and hors d’oeuvres while helping them spread warmth through their Winter Weather Clothing Drive, benefitting United Way of Lake County. They’re collecting new or gently used coats, boots, scarves, gloves, and snow pants, with a special need for infant and toddler sizes. Bring a donation and receive a raffle ticket for every item you give!
Night at the Museum
An overnight adventure awaits at the Grayslake Heritage Center & Museum for your favorite stuffed toy!
They encourage families to drop off their favorite toy to the Grayslake Heritage Center & Museum anytime between 10 am - 4 pm on Tuesday, December 9th. They will spend the night underneath the glow of our "Grayslake Giving Trees" display and tour the museum.
Toys may be picked up on Wednesday, December 10th between 12 pm - 4 pm. Check back online and see what fun adventures the toys enjoyed at their Night at the Museum.
Tuesday Trivia @ Beer Bazaar
Trivia night at Beer Bazaar is General Topics. Questions range from music, sports, movies, riddles, and more. Free to play, prizes to win! All teams who play all six rounds get 10% off their draft pours during trivia, with a rotating first place prize.

Candles & Cannolis - Winter Edition
The holidays just got extra sweet! Join Romney Brown for Candles + Cannolis - Winter Edition, which includes a special collaboration event with their friends at Tony Cannoli!s. This sweet collaboration takes place at their shop (170 Center Street, Suite 1) and offers guests a hands-on candle-pouring experience followed by an interactive cannoli-filling demo with fresh creams and toppings.
Each $40 ticket includes all materials to create one custom candle and fill three cannolis, plus a takeaway pastry box. This is a fun and delicious way to support two local small businesses while trying something new in Lake County.

Grayslake Historical Society's Holiday Open House
The holiday season is here! Celebrate with the Grayslake Historical Society at the Grayslake Heritage Center & Museum during their Holiday Open House from 1 - 3 pm on December 14th. This free event will feature photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus in an authentic one-horse open sleigh, crafts, refreshments, the Giving Tree exhibit, and museum tours. At 3 pm you can experience a Bell Choir Concert from members of the United Protestant Church.
Lake County Folk Club Open Stage
Join the Lake County Folk Club for Open Stage. Sign up begins at 6 pm and music starts at 6:30 pm.
Anyone who would like to perform is encouraged to do so. Non-performing listeners are always encouraged, and will be pleasantly surprised with the diverse musical styles represented.
The first 12 performers get to do two songs (no more than ten minutes total). After the 1st 12, they will fit in as many one-song performers as time allows. Things get wrapped up at 8:30. Suggested donation is $3.
Loteria Night
Loteria is a traditional Mexican game of chance, similar to bingo, but played with a deck of illustrated cards instead of numbers. Beer Bazar will be raising money for La Mariposa Women’s Collective with MC Gema as your host, guiding you through each round with energy and excitement. $10 a Loteria card with fantastic prizes for the lucky winners.
Tuesday Trivia - All Things Christmas
Get your jingle bells ready! Test your knowledge on everything from classic holiday movies and festive music to historical traditions, seasonal food, and much more. This is the ultimate trivia night for Christmas enthusiasts!

Each month, Andy’s Records will gather to listen to and dissect a selected vinyl album with a group of like-minded music lovers over snacks and drinks (BYOB). They encourage you to listen in any way you can ahead of the meeting and be prepared to participate in a casual discussion about the album. Your $10 ticket will include admission, snacks, exclusive shopping and a raffle ticket for a drawing we will do that evening (the raffle winner also gets to pick the next album if they want to!).

Twenty-eight years ago, Jacquie Manning and Rich Prezioso, the Chicago-area duo known as Small Potatoes, decided to hit the road as full-time folk singers.
Now, a million and a half miles traveled and 3,500 shows played, they are listed as a “favorite act” by many coffeehouses, clubs and house concerts across the U.S.

The Lake County Folk Club will host their monthly Song Circle beginning at 6:30 pm.
Come out to play or just listen. Members and non-members are always welcome. One of their friendly hosts will keep the ball rolling.
This is a casual, no pressure opportunity to kick back, play some music and meet others. The participants form a circle, and each one in turn can choose to play a song or politely pass. It’s a chance to lead songs or to join in with others. They keep moving around the circle until it’s time to call it a night.

Skate in the Park
Join the Grayslake Chamber of Commerce for their fourth annual Skate in the Park. The event kicks off at noon featuring professional figure skaters. Following that, be ready to lace up your skates (bring your own), and enjoy open skate and a shoot the puck contest. There will also be a bonfire, hot chocolate, s’mores, and more to enjoy!
This afternoon of winter family fun is located in Gelatin Park.
Gelatin Park is located just south of Central Park off of Railroad Avenue, west of the Grayslake Area Public Library.
